SATA Hard drive stock..

At present there is a worldwide shortage of hard disk drives due to flooding of manufacturers facilities in Asia. The current forecasts for most hard disk manufacturers show there will be a severe impact on the number of drives available due to factory closures which are likely to last through the first quarter of 2012.

We will be limiting the sale of new drives and do not anticipate extra stock of drives in the near future. The prices of new SATA hard disk drives currently available appear in our opinion to be highly inflated and we believe they do not offer value to our customers.

We have a limited number of refurbished 3.5" SATA hard disks available which we believe are reasonably priced and will allow customers to have systems repaired at an affordable price. We wil also make a limited number of these drives available for purchase by customers.
Currently we have 3.5" 80gb SATA drives available at £19 inc VAT and 3.5" 500gb SATA drives for £40 inc VAT with a 30 day warranty.

Our new web hosting and design site is at elyhost.co.uk and is offering web hosting, design, domain names. We believe we are the first web design and hosting company in ely with an online support system ensuring technical support problems are covered 24/7!!

We hope the Ely Computers shop's web site will get a well deserved redesign in the next few weeks, it has been on hold for a while due to the web hosting service expansion.. Our USA based servers and hosting system has been added to our portfolio of services and our expansion into providing web hosting services in Australia (with Australian based servers) is well under way.
